Sturbridge to Bourne & Wellesley Century
The Sturbridge to Bourne and Wellesley Century route is a two-day route in the Pan-Mass Challenge. Regardless of which route you ride, 100 percent of every-rider raised dollar goes to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Fundraising Minimum
$6,000
The fundraising commitment requires you to personally guarantee the fundraising minimum whether or not you actually participate in the PMC ride. The fundraising deadline is October 1, 2022.

Pre-Ride Information
ID & Proof of Vaccination
Bring your photo ID and proof of vaccination to check-in to receive your jersey and credentials. You cannot register and ride without identification and proof of vaccination.
*The PMC is following the CDC's vaccination definition: You are “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19 two weeks after you received either A) two (2) doses of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, given 4-8 weeks apart, or B) one (1) dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

Packing List
Review the suggested packing list in the PMC Handbook and make sure your luggage does not exceed 25 pounds.
Bike Preparation
Get your bike tuned up before PMC weekend and be sure to carry your own inner tubes and CO2 cartridges or pump.

Water Stop Services
Each water stop will offer food and beverages, emergency mechanical support, medical support, and lavatories. Please note the water stop operating hours as listed in the handbook.

Roadside Assistance
Riders needing mechanical or medical assistance during their ride can request help one of two ways: in the TraQCentral app or by calling the PMC's emergency support number, 1-800-WE-CYCLE.
Guest Policy
Friends and family are encouraged to cheer from the roadside, but only registered riders and volunteers are allowed at PMC sites this year, including at starts, water stops, and finishes.

Before the Ride: Friday, August 5
Sturbridge Host Hotel – 366 Main St., US Route 20, Sturbridge, MA 01566
Check-In
Check in at the ballroom of the Sturbridge Host Hotel (366 Main Street, Sturbridge, MA, 01566) between 2 and 8 PM (or between 4:30 and 5:15 AM Saturday) to receive your rider credentials, including your wristband, bike tag, name tags, and luggage tags. All rider are required to wear their wristband PMC weekend.
Riders must provide a photo ID and proof of vaccination at check-in.
Buses to Sturbridge
Buses to Sturbridge leave Boston at 1 PM and Babson College in Wellesley at 1:30 PM.
Food & Drinks
Dinner and refreshments will be available lakeside from 4 to 7 PM at the Sturbridge Host Hotel for registered riders only (no guests).
Lodging
Lodging is available in Sturbridge Friday night at an additional cost and is not included in the registration fee. Riders with Sturbridge lodging should refer to their PMC Dashboard to check their lodging assignment.
Shuttles to hotels are available in front of the Sturbridge Host Hotel from 2 to 8 PM.
Bike Parking
Secure, overnight bike parking is available at Sturbridge Host Hotel on Friday starting at 2 PM.
Bike Mechanics
Emergency bike service is available at the Sturbridge Host Hotel from 3 to 9 PM on Friday.
Car Parking
Parking is available at the Sturbridge Host Hotel; overnight weekend parking is permitted in the unpaved lot in front of the hotel.
Opening Ceremonies
The 2022 PMC Opening Ceremonies are live in the Hawthorne Room of the Sturbridge Host Hotel from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Live entertainment from Kamryn starts at 5:30 PM; please be in your seats no later than 6:15 PM.

Start
The ride officially starts at 5:30 AM in front of the Sturbridge Host Hotel; riders should line up for the start at 5:15 AM.
Riders are also welcome to start from their local hotel or home and just merge into the route.
Rider Registration
Registration is in the ballroom of the Sturbridge Host Hotel from 4:30 to 5:15 AM for any riders who did not check in Friday.
Breakfast
Breakfast is available in the Hawthorne Room of the Sturbridge Host Hotel from 4 to 5:15 AM.
Bike Mechanics
Emergency bike service is available at the Sturbridge Host Hotel from 4 to 5:30 AM on Saturday.

There are 5 water stops along the Sturbridge to Bourne route:
Whitinsville (mile 25)

Detour at Mile 7
Due to construction, we have re-routed approximately 2 miles of the route in Charlton (7 miles after the Sturbridge start). The impact to your ride stats will be negligible: the route is now longer by 0.3 miles, with 85 feet less climbing. As always, be sure to follow PMC arrows along the route, respect stop signs/lights, and obey any verbal instructions given by traffic control personnel. Luggage
The PMC will transport one bag (not to exceed 20 pounds) per rider from Sturbridge to MMA. Load your luggage on the truck in front of the hotel marked with your MMA lodging between 4 and 5:15 AM.
E-Bike Charging
E-bike charging is available at the Dighton-Rehoboth water stop and at Mass Maritime Academy. Riders are responsible for bringing their own power cord/adapter.

Finish – Saturday, August 6

Food & Beverage
Food and drinks (including alcoholic beverages for those 21+) are available on Parade Field at MMA from 11 AM to 6:30 PM. There will be live music from 1:30 to 7 PM.
Luggage
All luggage from Wellesley and Sturbridge will be delivered to MMA, unless a rider has requested a luggage tag for the Hampton Inn in Buzzards Bay. Luggage for one-day riders can be found near the finish line; please refer to the map in the handbook.
Showers
Use the showers in the gym or shower trucks at the finish line.
Transportation – Buses
Riders taking a bus back to Wellesley or Sturbridge should load their bike on the correct destination truck once their finish their ride. The buses leave for Wellesley at 5 and 7 PM and Sturbridge at 7 PM from Academy Drive.
Transportation – Own Arrangements
One-day riders who need transportation from MMA should note that no cars are allowed on the MMA campus or Academy Drive. Shuttles run between MMA and satellite parking lots; please see details in the handbook to arrange transportation.

Start

Living Proof Photo
The PMC Living Proof photo for Wellesley Century riders will be taken at 5:30 AM. The PMC Living Proof community is made up of riders and volunteers who were previously treated or are currently undergoing cancer treatment.
Breakfast
Breakfast is available in the Trim Lot starting at 5 AM.
Luggage
Riders may leave a bag at Babson College so they may change clothes after they finish their ride.
Bike Mechanics
Emergency bike service is available from 5:15 to 7 AM.
Parking & Rider Drop-Off
Drop-Off: Vehicles dropping off riders should use the Babson West Gate on Wellesley Avenue between 4:45 and 6:15 AM.
Parking: Vehicles entering the campus to park should use the Babson or Olin main entrance between 4:45 and 6:15 AM.
Follow the direction of police, Babson Public Safety, PMC volunteers and signage.

Post-Ride Celebration
Food, beverages, music, games, and the cycling & fitness expo is from 10 AM to 3 PM in the Trim Lot, near the finish line.
Showers
Shower trucks will be in the Hollister Lot.
Guests
Only riders and volunteers are allowed at the post-ride celebration on the Babson campus. However, friends and family are encouraged to cheer from the roadside.
