#WhyIPMC guest blog by Mike Trenh, 1st-year rider, Team Path To The Cure

Our company, PSG is a proud sponsor of PMC. This will be my first year riding the PMC and it's something I'veimage001-1 been wanting to do for a long time. Every year there are millions of people who are diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately there is no answer why, but together we can help fight it. The one person who inspired me to ride is my mom. She was diagnosed with a rare cancer about 18 years ago and she has never been able to fully recover from it. Over the years she's been in and out of the hospital, sometimes even months at a time, but no matter how many times she's been knocked down by the late effects of cancer, she always comes out from the other side stronger than before. We almost lost her this year but she held on and I am so grateful for the doctors at BWH and Dana-Farber because without their expertise and support, we would not have made it this far. I’m looking forward for my first year riding the PMC and will be doing the 2-day 160 miles Wellesley to Provincetown route. I’ll be ready to high five my PSG co-riders at the finish line, and texting my mom to say “ This is for you!”.image002-4

I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because 100% of rider-raised funds goes directly to the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Taking part in this meaningful cause gives me the chance to help make a difference and to give back. #irideforjulie
