WBZ Story: Baby’s Cancer Battle Inspires PMC Community

Published Date:   June 04, 2021

Topic:   Pan-Mass Challenge, WBZ

Team Beans – a team in both the PMC Winter Cycle and PMC 2021 – is riding in memory of Francesca "Beans" Kaczynski, who was diagnosed with cancer when she was 6 months old and passed away on Christmas Eve 2020 at 9 months old.

Francesca was treated at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where her parents, Andrew Kaczynski and Rachel Ensign, have set up the Team Beans Infant Brain Tumor Fund to bring together pediatric oncologists for clinical trials and lab research.

"We're so grateful and will always be so grateful for the love and care and kindness we got there," Andrew said.

Please watch and share this inspiring WBZ story by Lisa Hughes (11-year PMC rider) with your donors. So far, close to $1 million has been raised through the PMC in Francesca "Beans" Kaczynski's memory.
