Share Your PMC Story

Published Date:   February 17, 2015

Topic:   PMC News

The PMC generates media attention to help riders fundraise and attract new riders. People who read, hear or watch stories about PMC riders, are much more likely to get involved and/or contribute to the cause.

To do this, we need your stories to share with the media. Stories that will be picked up by the media include:

  • Families who ride together
  • Cancer survivors who ride
  • Families who have signed up for the Sunday one-day family ride (including 13-year-olds)
  • Tweens and teens in the PMC
  • Training groups / rides
  • Senior riders
  • Parents who ride for children being treated for cancer
  • Children who ride for their parents being treated for cancer
  • Past PMC Pedal Partners who now ride in the PMC
  • Past PMC Kids Rides participants who now ride in the PMC
  • Love connections and new best friends made through the PMC
  • Medical professionals riding alongside patients
  • Unique fundraising strategies
  • Other personal anecdotes:
    • Why you PMC
    • How cancer has affected your life
    • How your life has changed because of the PMC

In addition to promoting your story through the media, we will post some stories on the PMC blog that will be shared through the PMC's Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn pages and more. If you or your team has a blog, let us know and we'll link your blog to the PMC's blog.

Please email alfano@pmc.org with your story and include your first and last name, the city and state in which you live, and your phone number.

By writing to us, you are providing permission for us to use your story through the media. We'll be in touch if we need further information or if reporters are interested in speaking with you.
