My name is Nancy Hamilton and on December 18, 2022, my 21 year old daughter Augusta, experienced stroke-like symptoms while on her way to ski in Vermont with friends. An MRI found a golf ball sized tumor, deep in the right side of her brain. We transferred her to Boston where she endured a seven hour surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Bi and her amazing team at the Skull Base Tumor Lab were able to remove most of the tumor. The pathology came back as a grade 2 glial tumor that is now under the watchful eyes of Dr. Wen and his team at Dana-Farber

I have decided to ride in this year's PMC in support of my hero, my amazing daughter, and to honor the incredible team of doctors, nurses and hospital staff at Dana-Farber.  We will forever be indebted to the people who work at Dana-Farber, leading the charge to find a cure. I know we all donate to many causes, be it through our time or donations, but I decided to harness my strength through this ride because 100% of all of the donations made to me in Augusta's honor go directly to the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Can't get any better than that and I can't wait to get to Provincetown!
