We make sunshine on a rainy day

Today more than 600 cyclists pedaled across the finish line at Babson College in Wellesley. Mother Nature was tough on the riders this morning, but the rain did little to dampen their spirits or their reasons for riding. Close behind them in ponchos were 300 volunteers who ensured the safety and refueling of the cyclists. Towels were on the ready and the sounds of cowbells and cheers filled the air as each new group of riders came through. We saw cyclists from Team 9, Patriot's Platelet Peddlers, Dunkin Donuts, Cliff's Crew, Team Samantha and Team Xavier come through. We also caught a quick photo with the all women cycling team and their Rosie the Riveter inspired jerseys.

Way to go ladies - You did it!

WCVB's Sue Griffin who rode with Team Channel 5 also crossed the finish line at Babson today. She jumped off her bike and got right to work, interviewing riders for the evening news still in her bike cleats. Over on the chow line cyclists lined up for Legal Seafood's hot chili and clam chowder and all natural burgers and dogs from Whole Foods market, while Mix 93.7 spun tunes to set the mood for the Hawaiian themed luau under the tent.

Riders filling in under the tent to keep dry and refuel

There wasn't a single dry pair of cycling shorts in the house, but you would have never known from the smiles, high fives and congratulating going around. Thank you to all our cyclists and volunteers. Congrats on completing the 32nd annual PMC. Together we are closer by the mile.
