Takeda Sponsors the PMC for the Third Consecutive Year

The Pan-Mass Challenge is pleased to announce that Takeda will be supporting the PMC as the Wellesley hub site sponsor for the third year in a row.

The fully supported bike-a-thon makes an unparalleled positive impact in the fight against cancer, donating 100 percent of rider-raised dollars directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Dana-Farber), supporting lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care. Takeda is proud to support patients by playing a role in raising these lifesaving funds.

“A cancer diagnosis alters the lives of patients, caregivers and their families. While they focus on treatment, it is essential for those impacted to have a community committed to supporting them,” said Stefanie Granado, Head, US Oncology Business Unit, Takeda Oncology. “The Pan-Mass Challenge is an opportunity for exactly that. Individuals across the community – riders, donors and volunteers – join together with a single goal in mind: advance potentially lifesaving cancer research. We are proud to partner and sponsor the PMC for the third consecutive year, bringing us all one step closer to curing cancer.”

In addition to sponsoring the PMC, Takeda has a team, Team Takeda Oncology, riding in the PMC for the 13th consecutive year.

"On behalf of the entire PMC community, I am excited to welcome back Takeda as an official sponsor for PMC 2023,” said Billy Starr, founder and executive director of the PMC. “We are grateful for Takeda’s partnership and support as we set our sights on a $70 million fundraising goal for Dana-Farber this year.”

In 2022 alone, the PMC raised $69 million for Dana-Faber. Since its inception in 1980 it has contributed $900 million, making it the Institute’s single largest contributor, accounting for more than 60 percent of the annual revenue at The Jimmy Fund®.
