2009 PMC Volunteers
In 2009, there were 3,010 volunteers and almost 200 of them were cancer survivors. The benefits of volunteering include helping those in need, developing new skills, improving existing talents, making a difference in the lives of cancer patients, and forming new friendships. Volunteer for the 31st Annual Pan-Massachusetts Challenge! Volunteers have a lot of fun PMC weekend! The riders and staff are eternally grateful for their efforts. The PMC needs volunteers to help with set-up, luggage transportation, registration, medical support, massages, bike mechanics, security, food service, and clean-up between Aug. 6 and 8. Volunteers work at stops all along the PMC route -- Sturbridge, Wellesley, Lakeville, Dighton and Provincetown. Returning volunteers and newcomers can register now. Volunteers must be age 13 or older. No experience necessary. Click here to review requirements for each volunteer site. Time commitments vary based on the job assignment and volunteer availability. There is also the opportunity to volunteer and raise money for the PMC by registering as a virtual rider or signing up for the one-day ride.
