The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is pleased to announce that Berkshire Partners, a Boston-based investment firm, is now the official sponsor of PMC’s Wellfleet waterstop.  For many years, Berkshire employees, families and friends have volunteered at this waterstop and Berkshire's sponsorship celebrates their ongoing commitment to the PMC.

“We are honored to be partnering with the PMC and supporting the ground-breaking work of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund Clinic,” said Mike Ascione, a Managing Director at Berkshire. “Berkshire team members have participated in the PMC as both riders and volunteers for many years.  In 2016 we had a team of over 50 people ride and volunteer during PMC weekend.  The PMC is an incredible organization, a truly iconic philanthropic event and we look forward to Berkshire being an active participant and supporter for many years to come.”

“We are thrilled to have Berkshire join us as a sponsor,” said Billy Starr, PMC founder and executive director.  “The PMC was built on the support from our community and we always welcome the opportunity to partner with a Boston-based institution like Berkshire. Berkshire has been a part of the PMC family for many years on and off the road, and we look forward to continuing this relationship through this newly forged sponsorship.”
