Pan-Mass Challenge names 105.7 WROR-FM official radio station of the PMC for 2015 and beyond

The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) today announced a three-year partnership with 105.7 WROR-FM to serve as the official radio station of the bike-a-thon event that has raised $455 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). In addition to sponsorship from 105.7 WROR-FM, the home of the Loren and Wally Morning Show, PMC will also be supported by the Boston arm of Greater Media and associated local radio stations Magic 106.7New Hit Country 102.5 WKLBHot 96.9, and Radio 92.9

“The PMC is thrilled to embark on a long-term collaboration with Greater Media. We are confident the support will foster further awareness of the PMC story and drive a call-to-action to get involved in Massachusetts and beyond,” said Billy Starr, founder and executive director of the Pan-Mass Challenge. “The new partnership will increase exposure for the PMC as we gear up for our 36th ride and in the years to come.”

As the official radio station of the PMC, 105.7 WROR-FM and Greater Media will support the organization throughout the year with on-air and digital promotional support, event support and musical acts for PMC events. On July 31, 2015, 105.7 WROR-FM will host a live broadcast in Sturbridge, Mass. prior to PMC opening ceremonies.

Company leadership at Greater Media Boston will be intricately involved in supporting the PMC as Williams will be leading a PMC riding team of six, which will include radio hosts Loren Owens and Wally Brine, as well as WROR-FM radio personalities Lauren Beckham Falcone, Hank Morse, Julie Devereaux and producer Brian Bell. “What an exciting opportunity and honor to be part of the most successful fundraising event in the country and supporting such an amazing charity that benefits Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund,” said Loren Owens, host of The Loren and Wally Morning Show.
