The Pan-Mass Challenge is pleased to announce that M&T Bank is joining the organization as co-presenting sponsor. Through its multi-year deal with PMC, M&T is joining the organization’s community of passionate cyclists, volunteers and generous donors to support the shared goal of raising lifesaving funding for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Most of the participants – riders, volunteers, and the supporters along the route – know the emotional and physical strength it takes to battle cancer,“ said Grace Lee, M&T’s Eastern Massachusetts regional president. “M&T is honored to join all of them in supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s research to treat and cure the disease.”
In addition to ride weekend, M&T’s sponsorship will also support multiple PMC events throughout the year, including its popular PMC Kids Rides program. As part of the bank’s long-standing tradition of community commitment and employee volunteerism, M&T will also field a team of employees to ride during PMC ride weekend, which takes place this year on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7, and staff water stops along the 16 routes and up to 210 miles course.

The PMC is the nation’s most successful athletic fundraising event, raising and contributing more money to charity than any other. The PMC donates 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar as Dana-Farber’s largest single contributor, raising more than 55 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. This year, the PMC has a $66 million fundraising goal which, if met, would increase the organization’s cumulative fundraising since its inception in 1980 to $897 million.
