Members of Pan-Mass Challenge Team CHUCKLE journeyed from Boston to Philadelphia this past weekend to watch some of the country's top professionals compete in the TD Bank International Cycling Championship and to meet with Team CHUCKLE's Philadelphia-based sponsors: Fuji Bikes and the Susquehanna Glass Company.  While enjoying the race day's events with their sponsors, the team met unexpectedly with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter.  Mayor Nutter accepted a Pan-Mass Challenge Red Sox cap as a gesture of good will between the cities.  Team CHUCKLE's captain, Rob Brennan, said Mayor Nutter was extremely gracious and good natured – sending his regards for Mayor Menino – even though he was surrounded by hundreds of Philly sports fans.

Team CHUCKLE's 40 members include some of Boston's top comedians who will join 5,500 other cyclists in the 32nd annual Pan-Mass Challenge Aug 6-7. Join Team CHUCKLE's rider-comedians and other stars of the Boston comedy scene at the Team's "Pan-Mass Chuckle" benefit comedy show Wednesday June 22 at Nick's Comedy Stop in Boston. Boston and Philadelphia are among the East Coast's leading bike-friendly cities and have made great strides in promoting cycling for recreation, health and commuting. Boston hosts its own professional cycling event – The Mayor's Cup on September 25, 2011.
