#WHYIPMC guest blog by Sameer Kazi, 1st-year rider from Chicago, IL

I am a first time rider in 2022 - a big thank you to my friend Lewis Kornberg who inspired me with his incredible Sturbridge to Provincetown Inn rides for the past ELEVEN years. 2022 will be number 12 for him. This two day ride is 186 miles and 7000ft of climbing. IMG_0005100% - That is how many of the dollars that you donate go directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. 100% is no joke. Everyone of us has been directly or indirectly affected by this terrible disease and your donation matters in this fight. Every dollar matters. No excuse not to give - support me on this ride or give directly to the PMC because it is a leader in the charge to beat cancer.IMG_0003I'm riding to honor two very special people who I wish my family and I could have had more time with - My late mother, Najma Kazi and my late father in law, Mohammed Ather Abbas. Two very special people, fiercely devoted to their families. Both are in our hearts and thoughts everyday. They are both missed.Pain CaveI'll be posting training updates on twitter (@Sameer_Kazi) once a week and will have a bit more fun on Instagram (sameerkazi_312). My goal is to do two century rides before August 6th. Your support, kind words and encouragement mean the world to me.My steed for the ride
