What you need to know as a first year PMC rider

Published Date:   March 21, 2012

Topic:   Press Releases

You've signed up for your first ever Pan-Mass Challenge. Now what do you do? You attend rider orientation. The PMC hosts these annual events to introduce new riders to the organization as well as answer any and all questions you may have as you prepare for your ride. How do you effectively train for the PMC? What should you eat before, during and after a 190 mile bike ride? What tools are available to help with fundraising? How I do I share my story with the media? These are just some of the questions that will be answered during rider orientation. At each event you'll also meet the PMC Head Staff, learn what to pack for PMC weekend, how volunteers get your luggage to you at the end of the ride, safety and medical information, and what to expect throughout PMC weekend. These events are a must for any first year rider. PMC Rider Orientations will be held: Wednesday, March 21 Thursday, April 5 Wednesday, April 11 All orientations start at 6:30 p.m. at the PMC Headquarters, 77 Fourth Ave., Needham.
