MAPFRE Insurance, the largest auto and home insurer in Massachusetts, was proud to serve as the official sponsor of the Pan-Mass Challenge Wellesley hub site for the 2025 ride on August 2 and 3.
The partnership strengthens a shared mission of serving the people and communities of Massachusetts and advancing life-saving cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
“For more than 50 years, MAPFRE Insurance, through its family of companies, has proudly protected the cars, homes and peace of mind of Massachusetts residents,” said MAPFRE Insurance president & CEO Jaime Tamayo. “That same spirit of care and commitment makes the Pan-Mass Challenge a leader in bringing hope to those affected by cancer across our state and beyond. We were honored to stand alongside the Pan-Mass Challenge as the official sponsor of the Wellesley hub site and look forward to continuing to help them make a great impact.”
MAPFRE Insurance has also served as the Official Auto Insurance Provider of the PMC since 2015. As the nation’s single most successful athletic fundraising event, the PMC raised a record-breaking $75 million in 2024. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has contributed over $1 billion to cancer research and treatment, making the PMC Dana-Farber’s single largest contributor.
“Our partnership with MAPFRE Insurance is an important part of what makes the Pan-Mass Challenge so impactful,” said Billy Starr, PMC founder and chairman. “Their support in Wellesley helps us bring together thousands of riders and volunteers, all working toward a shared goal of advancing cancer research and care at Dana-Farber.”
The 2025 PMC drew thousands of riders and volunteers from across the country. The Wellesley hub site at Babson College serves as a key starting location for over half of all PMC riders, with routes starting from this location on both Saturday and Sunday of PMC weekend.
