A local ice cream shop is supporting the PMC Hudson Kids Ride. Just ask for Jimmies on Saturday, June 26. Who doesn't love Jimmies on their ice cream!? The official release:

HUDSON, Mass. | Your favorite treat just got sweeter! On Saturday, June 26, the Hudson Dairy Joy will donate 50 cents to the Jimmy Fund for every person who adds "Jimmy Fund Jimmies" to his or her sundae or cone. Proceeds from every order will benefit the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge Hudson Kids Ride, which raises money for cancer care and research for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. Shop owners Lisa and Jay Cormier, who are avid PMC supporters, hope to double the number of sprinkles served that day and make a considerable donation to the PMC Hudson Kids Ride. "We are thrilled to support the PMC and donate to such a worthy cause," says Lisa Cormier, co-owner of the Hudson Dairy Joy. "Saturday is our busiest day and we expect a lot of locals to come in and top off their ice cream with Jimmy Fund Jimmies." The PMC Hudson Kids Ride will be one of 35 PMC Kids Rides held in neighborhoods throughout New England and beyond. Nearly 6,000 cyclists will ride between 1 and 26 miles in mini-bike-a-thons to raise money for cancer research. The PMC Kids Rides are spokes in the PMC wheel, supporting more than 5,500 adult PMC cyclists who will ride in the two-day, 190-mile bike-a-thon this August. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $270 million for the Jimmy Fund. PMC Kids Rides offer a way for children to become part of the PMC mission, involving young people in volunteerism and fundraising in a safe and athletic way. To date the PMC Kids Rids program has raised more than $2.3 million for the Pan-Mass Challenge. The PMC Hudson Kids Ride is still looking for cyclists, ages 3 to 14, to ride one of three designated routes on Sunday, September 12 at the Hudson Bike Trail. The ride hopes to raise $10,000 for the PMC. To register, visit kids.pmc.org/hudson. For more information, email hudsonpmcride@aol.com or call (978) 360-8154. The Hudson Dairy Joy "Jimmy Fund Jimmies" will be on sale from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 26. The shop is located at 418 Main St, in Hudson, Mass.
