When 300 or so cancer survivors gather on the lawn at the Mass Maritime Academy after finishing day one of the Pan-Mass Challenge, something magical happens. There's nothing quite like the energy, the excitement and the honor of seeing all of these amazing cancer survivors of all ages, gathered together to celebrate their achievements. The Living Proof photo is a PMC highlight year after year. And this year, we'll have a special champagne toast to honor all of our Living Proof riders at theMassMaritimeAcademyin Bourne. The New England Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NECCS) and Freixient USA (PMC wine sponsor) are hosting a champagne toast immediately following the Living Proof photo. Learn more about NECCS at the Babson College expo Friday night in Wellesley. Angus McQuilken, a third-year Living Proof PMC rider and member of the Board of Director of the NECCS, organized the toast to honor his fellow riders. "When I crossed the finish line of my first PMC, it was a turning point and the PMC has been a key part of my life the last few years," McQuilken said. "We thought this would be a great way for us to all celebrate cancer survivorship."
