As we embark on our 45th Pan-Mass Challenge and approach the $1 billion fundraising milestone, I'm pleased to share the new PMC Origin Story video with you. From its humble beginnings in 1980 to the country's largest athletic fundraiser, the PMC is a tale worth telling and witnessing again.

The PMC is a story of commitment, determination, and hope. As Dr. Edward Benz, the former president of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, said, "When they write the history of how cancer was conquered, the Pan-Mass Challenge will be in chapter one."

I hope you enjoy the PMC Origin Story and share it with your community.

The PMC Origin Story is by Creative Director Ken Shulman (host of Dana-Farber's [Unraveled podcast](https://www.dana-farber.org/health-library/unraveled)) and Executive Producer Glenn Romero ([Snowcap Video Solutions](https://www.snowcapvideo.com/)).

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the PMC's story over the last 45 years,

Billy Starr
Founder & Executive Director
