The Pan-Mass Challenge is pleased to announce that Takeda, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and delivering life-transforming treatments, is a PMC sponsor for the fifth consecutive year, serving as the PMC’s Mass Maritime Academy (MMA) Main Stage Sponsor for 2025.

The PMC makes an unparalleled positive impact in the fight against cancer, donating 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Dana-Farber), supporting lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care. Takeda is honored to not only sponsor the PMC – which raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country – but for the 15th year, have a group participating as riders for Team Takeda Oncology.

“We are proud to again sponsor the PMC, which supports patients by raising critical funds and bringing us closer to potential cancer cures and treatments,” says Pallavi Garg, Head, US Oncology Business Unit, Takeda Oncology. “It’s inspiring to see so many come together, whether they are riders, donors or volunteers, to show support for patients with cancer, as well as their caregivers and families. Takeda is proud to be a part of this community, working together to advance potentially lifesaving cancer research.”

This year marks the PMC’s 46th ride, which took place on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3 across the state of Massachusetts. With 14 routes spanning 25 to 186 miles, over 6,500 cyclists hit the road with the common goal of advancing cancer cures and treatments at Dana-Farber.

"On behalf of the entire PMC community, I am excited to welcome back Takeda as an official sponsor for PMC 2025,” said Billy Starr, founder and chairman of the PMC. “We are especially pleased to have a sponsor and partner so deeply involved in oncology, both through their steadfast support of the PMC and through their day-to-day work advancing research and cures for cancer.”

Last year, the PMC raised a record $75 million and surpassed $1 billion in cumulative donations towards the fight against cancer since its founding in 1980. In 2025, the PMC has a fundraising goal of $76 million for Dana-Farber. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest contributor, accounting for 66 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue.
