The nation’s most successful athletic fundraiser is aiming to raise more than ever this year: the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) announced a record $79 million fundraising goal for 2026 during the PMC Heavy Hitter Evening on May 1.

This year’s theme of “now, more than ever” emphasizes the importance of every single dollar raised to support finding a cure. 2026 marks the 20th consecutive year that PMC will donate 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

PMC raised $78 million in 2025, and since its inception in 1980, has given a total of $1.125 billion to Dana-Farber to fund groundbreaking cancer research, lifesaving treatment, and patient care.

Registration is open for PMC weekend happening August 1-2, as well as PMC Unpaved, a gravel ride in Massachusetts’ Berkshires on October 3, and for PMC Kids Rides, mini bike-a-thons for the next generation of fundraising cyclists, taking place in communities in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire.

These events, along with the PMC Winter Cycle, are “spokes in the wheel” of the Pan-Mass Challenge that contribute to the organization’s annual gift to Dana-Farber. The fundraising gift will be announced in November 2026.
