A PMC Retrospective: Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

There is a lot of small stuff and a lot of sweat at the Pan Mass Challenge. The number of volunteers confirms that; everything from Rider Registration on Friday night to Site Beautification on Saturday night.

Thank you for making the 34th annual Pan-Mass Challenge the most successful PMC yet. In 2013, more than 5,500 cyclists representing 38 states and five countries rode one of 11 routes over one or two days through 46 towns and cities in Massachusetts.

"Fifteen years ago, I had the honor of accepting the 1999 PMC check for $8.7 million.  That moment transformed me from a PMC observer to a committed member of Billy’s team. This August I completed my 14th PMC. So much has changed over the past 14 years, stunning advances have been made in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, this years PMC check is $30 million greater the 1999 check, and who would have believed that the Red Sox would have just won their 3rd World Series.
