On Friday May 6, 650 PMC Heavy Hitters attended a special evening honoring Dr. Edward Benz for his 16 years at the helm of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and hearing about how the funds raised by PMC riders have enabled physician/scientists at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to be world leaders in oncology research and treatment.
I am happy to share with you this letter from DFCI's President Benz to the riders & volunteers of the PMC that details 'where the money goes'. I believe you will find it informative and motivating. Please share it with your donors. - Billy Starr
Thank you for making the 34th annual Pan-Mass Challenge the most successful PMC yet. In 2013, more than 5,500 cyclists representing 38 states and five countries rode one of 11 routes over one or two days through 46 towns and cities in Massachusetts.
On Thursday December 5th, a diverse group of PMC riders and volunteers gathered at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to reconnect with members of the PMC family and explore the very institution in which the annual bike-a-thon has supported for the last 34 years.
