This 112 mile one-day ride is to honor Aunt (Tia) Dot and Uncle Al Borne.  This year I am not Team Kim (a team of one), but instead...Team Al's Gal (a team of many loved and lost). Maybe this team can help the Dana Farber Cancer Institute stem the tide of friends and family impacted by cancer. It reminds me of what mom sent before I rode last year... you are "committed to a daunting endeavor. Alone - this time: yet not, because each mile you ride this weekend, WE - all of us who have supported you, and all of those whose memories you carry - will be with you. Listen as you pedal, our thoughts and voices will be singing to you as you ride." 

As I ride, my heart screams to those I love and my supporters. Thank you all, our love is enduring, and we can make a difference in the battle against cancer. Al and Dot... this year's to you!

Last year's Pan-Mass Challenge gift of $30.4 million to the Jimmy Fund of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute represented 100% of all rider raised donations. Again 100 cents on the dollar (of rider raised funds) went to the charitty. I had to ride again. Please consider donating.

I cannot believe since last year's ride I have lost 2 of my honorees, how hard it was to move them to the in memory of section.
