Why I Ride ...
I am the father of Ynbal and currently also President of Cure Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma International (iCureASPS). Previously I was the Cancer Research Director of TAAASPS. Ynbal was diagnosed in 2003 with Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma (ASPS). Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma does not respond to chemotherapy and radiation and there is currently no cure for this cancer, which attacks teenagers and young people. I ride with Team ASPS since 2004. Thanks to my team members and our generous donors we were able to raise funds to promote the initiation of the first clinical trial for ASPS at the Dana-Farber in Boston. This trial tested the GVAX Cancer Vaccine. Recently the ARQ 197 was opened too. Our team of doctors and researchers at the Dana-Farber are also actively pursuing research to identify other types of therapies that might be tailored to fight ASPS.
Thank you so much for your support.
