This is our fifth year as a team and we are happy to have Zipcar, one of Boston's leading transportation companies, sponsoring us again. Today, Zipcar has over 35,000 members in Boston and is growing.
This will be our team's second year with a Pedal Partner. Last year, we were teamed up with three-year old Luke Hoag from Hoosick Falls, NY. Luke motivated us to continue this fight against cancer...particularly kids with cancer. Stay tuned to find out who our pedal partner will be in 2010!
In 2010, Team Zipcar consists of 23 individuals mostly from the Boston area. Our goal this year is to raise $150,000. Our team fuindraising has grown from $18,000 in 2006 to $340,000 overall, and our team has grown from 3 to 23 over that same time period.
On May 20, 2010, we will be hosting our fourth annual fundraising event at The Living Room in Boston. It is always a bit hit! Bob Halloran, WCVB-TV Channel 5 sportscaster, weekend anchor, and distinguished author will be returning to host for us as our veteran emcee. Come show your support and help us to help all those affected by this awful disease - especially young children like three year old Luke. Tune back in for more details as the date gets closer.
