The B-Team - Riding to Change Cancer Outcomes
Now Available: text PMC TT0106 to 20222 to make a $10 donation to the B-Team! Thank You!
The B-Team is Carol, Ellen, and Janet Beasley and Brian Titus. We are veteran riders in the PMC: Carol will be riding her 7th time, Janet for her 4th time and Brian for his 3rd time. This year Ellen will cheer us on from California. When we rode together in 2008, we raised over $28,000.
Brian lost his Dad, Charles Titus to colon cancer when Brian was only 9 and his Dad was just 45. Carol, Ellen and Janet lost their Mom, Patricia Beasley, to acute leukemia in 2007, and sister Joanne to breast cancer in 2008. The reason we're riding is that these aren't unusual stories -- and we want to help change that.
We'll train for the next 5 months in preparation for the 163 mile, two-day route from Wellesley to Provincetown, Massachusetts. Then we'll come together to ride as a team the weekend of August 7th. For us, the ride will be a celebration of family. We will carry with us the memories of all the family and friends we've lost to cancer -- and we will ride to celebrate the many cancer survivors we know.
We're riding to raise money for The Jimmy Fund, which supports patient care and cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Last year 100% of funds donated to sponsor riders went to the Jimmy Fund; rider registration fees and volunteers support the cost of the ride so that your donation can make a difference in the lives of people with cancer. Will you please join our quest by donating generously?
Thank you, with love,
Carol, Janet, Ellen, & Brian
