Why I Ride ...
Dear Friends and Family,
On August 1st and 2nd, I am participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge for the third year in a row. For those of you who dont know the PMC it is a 180 mile charity bike ride across Massachusetts in support of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Last year the event raised over $30 million to search for cures for cancer and related diseases.
I am riding this year on behalf of two inspiring individualsmy dad and my Godson. My father, Gerald Scanlon, passed away last summert after a courageous 15 year battle with cancer. My Godson, Harry Clark, at age 9 has overcome brain cancer with incredible spirit and courage. My ride and your support will fund progress in the fight against cancer in their honor.
