Why I Ride ...
I am never prepared for the emotional impact these two days have on me.
Mile after mile, the route is lined with people cheering us on, handing out water, saying "thanks for riding" and holding up posters such as the small boy with a poster-sized picture of himself captioned "Thanks to you I'm 4 years old now"!
What had started for me as a weekend cycling trip to test my endurance, be with friends, and help a worthy cause, end each year with a feeling of really having made a difference in other people's lives.
Unfortunately, many cancers are still incurable; most are fatal sooner or later. Cancer continues to ravage the people we care about. Cancer touches us all and doesn't discriminate. You probably have someone's struggle weighing on your heart too!
Help us make a difference! However much you choose to donate, you will receive my heartfelt thanks for your generosity in helping to increase hope and progress in the fight against cancer.
