William Schwartz's Ride
Why I Ride ...
Dear Friends,
On August 7th and 8th I participate for the second time in the annual Pan-Mass Challenge fundraiser. The PMC is a 200 mile charity ride that raises more money than any other single event in the country. The ride begins Saturday in Sturbridge and ends Sunday afternoon in Provincetown. Last year, the PMC raised $30 million for the Dana Farber Cancer Center and through your generous support, donors who supported me contributed over $11,000. I am deeply grateful for your support and hope that you will contribute again this year.
The event is inspiring and emotional. During the weekend I heard dozens of stories both heart-warming and heart-breaking. As you all do, I know many people who have been affected by cancer. The notes I got last year from many of you were amazing. This year I will ride again with Team Brentwheels, a team of over 40 riders who ride in support of research for Neuroblastoma. Brent McCreesh, a 7 year old Fairfield boy contracted Neuroblastoma at a very early age and was successfully treated at Dana Farber. We all ride for Brent and all the other kids who have been treated at Dana Farber for this terrifying disease.
Please make a difference and support my PMC ride. Please go to the egift box below to make your donation.
My personal goal is to raise $12,500 by the time I cruise into Provincetown on August 8th. I hope that you will help.
