Samuel Smith's Ride

Why I Ride ...

Dear friends and family:

I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.

As a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Neurosurgery at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA  I have had the privilege to work closely with many courageous patients and their families who have faced a diagnosis of cancer.  Surgical intervention frequently gets our patients out of immediate danger so that they may then commence long term treatment options.  It is my hope that revenue generated by the PMC will advance the goals of cancer research and treatment for our patients.  The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is uniquely positioned to carry out this important work.

I will ride 300 miles from the New York/Mass border in West Stockbridge to Provincetown with my teammates from Team Forza-G  in honor of cancer patients whose hope for restored health is directly tied to our success in raising funds.  Your support is deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,

Sam Smith, Jr.
