Sean Saganey's Ride
Why I Ride ...
On the good news front; it's six years since TC is cancer free! My brothers friend, Jimmy, just completed successful treatment this year and is cancer free! Plus I hear countless stories of people receiving treatment and continuing on with healthy lives. That's why we all ride.
The PMC's mission is to raise money for cancer care and research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Last year a record breaking $35 million was raised on the 29th anniversary bringing a total of $240 million since it inception! My goal is to raise $5,500 this year so if you can, please click this link:
http://www.pmc.org/egifts/SS0089 "Make an e-gift" link to donate with your credit card. Or you can mail me a donation at 7 Quarry Lane, North Easton, Ma 02356. If you can't contribute, please think about riding or volunteering, it's a great event! To volunteer go here: http://www.pmc.org/mypmc/crewdesc.aspI plan to dedicate my ride to five people. Mary Coveney, my mom's friend, who past away this year. My sister's friend, Wanda, who has been battling cancer for six years. Jimmy C. from my softball team who just found out he has prostrate cancer. Jimmy Langmeyer who just finished his treatments this year. And lastly my much better half, Patti, who has recovered from her run in with cancer!
I'll leave you with two quotes:
"The most rewarding things you do in life are often the ones that look like they cannot be done
". ~Arnold Palmer (cancer survivor)
"I always wondered why somebody didn't do something about that. Then I realized I was somebody."
~Lily Tomlin
Thanks once again for your support over the past seven years. Sean
