Stephanie Richman's Ride

Why I Ride ...

In the past, my althletic pursuits have been all about earning  the right to eat more pizza, cookies, wine and other treats.  This year, I've decided take on the biggest challenge yet and  put some more purpose into my pursuits.

I lost my father and uncle to cancer.   My uncle called exercise a "double 4 letter word," but my Dad loved to bike and participate in any outdoor sports. So, I have decided to ride across my home state of Massachusetts (192 miles in 2 days) with the goal of raising $5,000 in the fight against cancer.  Taking on this challenge would make them both proud and better yet, will help ensure that others win their battle with cancer- including those I know and think about every day (on the bike and off) that are currently fighting the disease.
