Susanne Muehlschlegel's Ride
Why I Ride ...
Cancer affects us all: personally, in our family or circle of friends.
This year, I'm riding the PMC for the first time ever. I'm riding in support of my father who has been diagnosed with end-stage prostate cancer. He has undergone palliative radiation and hormone infusion treatments, and so far is alive.
In addition, I'm riding to support Team Vlad, a team of cardiac anesthesiologists, OR nurses, PAs, and cardiac surgeons from Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. We ride in honor of Vlad, a collegue, friend, role model, and mentor, who is battling a brain tumor. He remains one of my role models by never giving up. His story has helped me open my eyes about the important things in life: health, spending time with family and friends, and exercising.
This is my first PMC as a rider, and I can't wait to ride it on a tandem with my best friend, love of my life, and husband Danny.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
I appreciate your help in reaching my fundraising goal. Thank you so very much!!!
