Steven Muller's Ride
Why I Ride ...
Dear Friends
and Family,
This year I am once again participating in The Pan-Mass Challenge, or
PMC. It's a two day charity bicycle ride across the state of
Massachusetts. After participating in last year's event, I knew I wanted
to do it again. The money raised, all 100% of it, goes to The
Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The
PMC has raised over $250 MILLION DOLLARS so far. The impact
this ride has had on so many people cannot be put into words. One
young 16 year old boy held a sign, as he has every year, that said "I'm
alive because you ride!".
This year my team of riders, Forza-G, is 35+ strong! One of our riders is currently going through treatment for a recurrence of his cancer, and another just found out he can't ride as his mother in law is losing her battle with this disease.
As we did last year, we are actually making this a true "Pan Mass" ride, and adding a third day of riding, starting at the MA/NY boarder on Friday morning, and riding about 100 miles the first day to the start of the actual PMC ride in Sturbridge, Ma. In total we will ride over 300 miles in three days. I once again ride to honor my brother-in-law Bob, and my mother-in-law Barbara. Cancer took them both way too young (47 & 67 respectively), and I truly believe that the funds raised through events like this are helping to find and fund new therapies for treatment, and hopefully one day a CURE!
I hate asking for donations when times are tough, but I am extremely appreciative of your support - any amount is money well spent!
Thank you again for your continued support!
Steven
