Why I Ride ...
Hello Everyone!
Thank you for visiting my profile! This is my third PMC and I am as eager as I was last year to make a difference in the lives of people affected by cancer. My first year I rode in honor of Maddie, a ten year old girl who was battling bone cancer. This year will be my second year that I will be riding in her beautiful memory. Maddie passed away on October 16, 2008 after a courageous 2 year fight. Maddie's passing has deeply affected the lives of her family, friends and the thousands of others inspired by her spirit. By riding in the PMC I aim to make a difference in the lives of others diagnosed with cancer and hopefully prevent the pain in other children that Maddie had to endure and the pain that her loved ones are now left to cope with. By riding with the Pedals for Pediatrics team, the money I raise will go specifically to pediatric cancer research, and other programs that aid children with cancer. Please help me not only reach my goal but far surpass it....every little bit counts.
