Why I Ride ...
I am Susan Cantin, mother of a 6 year old cancer survivor who was treated by doctors from Dana Farber Cancer Institute. My son Charlie, was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia at age 3 1/2. He underwent 5 rounds of chemotherapy and spent 7 months in the hospital in 2007. Three years later as of Feb 2010 he is still cancer-free!!! While in the hospital we met Ethan Lent's family. Ethan was also diagnosed with AML and underwent a bone marrow transplant. As a way of giving back to DFCI and all the doctors that worked so hard to save Charlie and Ethan's lives, I am raising money for DFCI by riding (in thier honor) in the PMC. I am riding as part of Team Superhero! Please donate so I can reach my goal.
