Box 384 Mansfield, MA 02048 508-339-0317 PMC ID: #RR0065 Dear Hello, I hope that all is well! I would like to start by thanking those who helped raise money for cancer research in the past. And also thanks in advance to those who are going to help this year. I will be riding in my 8th Pan Mass Challenge (PMC). I have come to believe this is a very important mission. The PMC is a 192 mile bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown on the weekend of August 6th and 7th. We ride 110 miles on Saturday and then spend the night at Mass Maritime. The next morning we ride across the Bourne Bridge as the sun rises and proceed to ride the length of Cape Code. I want to update everyone on my mother Maureen she is doing well .I want to thank everyone for their Prayers and caring concerns they do help .she had surgery last summer to remove a portion of her liver and attached lymph nodes and everything went well .all of her sequential checkups have been clear .I want to Thank you for helping ,my Guess is that some of the procedures that they used on my mother they developed through the Dana Farber .so in turn some of your donation will or has gone to helping my mother .It has also gone to helping thousands of others ,your friends and family you are making a difference. My Mothers story is going well but I know there are many stories that are not I know a few people right now who are going through the very difficult process of diagnosis, treatment and in some cases cure some not. I am not excluded from this disease and neither are any of us If It has not affected you yet It will It is effecting millions of people .MY FRIEND THIS IS A CALL TO ARMS Sometimes when I watch I feel helpless that there is nothing that I can do. But there is something that we can do â€" we can fight back. Researchers are learning more and more every day and we are all making a difference. A Cure = Research = Money!! This is what it comes down to. I am dedicated to this fight but I cannot do it alone. I need your financial support. I am committed to raising $4200 but my personal goal is to raise over $5000. When I ride I am not alone. I am with friends and family that we have lost and also the survivors who have physical and emotional scars. They are doing some fantastic work at Dana Farber they are developing treatments that work with someone’s DNA that target the patients cancer unique to them with great results but It is expensive research . This is something that could affect all of us, none are excluded, we are going to make a difference you all are going to be riding with me .I also want to add I have lost a few friends these last few years Frank and very recently Paul .I will be riding for them. If you know anyone that I could ride for let me know they will ride with me and I will keep them in my prayers Please consider making a donation by sending a check made out to the Pan Mass Challenge to the address above or go online to http://www.pmc.org/ and make a donation using my PMC ID # RR0065. You can also watch the ride on WCVB channel 5 on August 5th - 7th. Thanks in advance for your help.
