Robert Donahue's Ride
Thank you for stopping by my page...
I have dedicated this year's ride, my 12th to the memory of Wally Wood. Wally was the father of our close friend. He lost his 18-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer on July 4, 2010. I had the pleasure of getting to know Wally over the past 10 years. Wally was a husband, Father, Grandfather, Professor, friend, colleague, and craftsman. (His wedding present to Jen and I was one of his signature wood clocks that is on display in our bedroom.) To me, Wally was a story teller. I enjoyed the brief moments I was able to share with Wally and wish all the best to his family.
100% of the funds donated to the PMC go directly to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) where Wally was treated. This year I have directed all funds donated for my ride to the Gastrointestinal Cancer Center at DFCI. Wally's 18 month fight was three times the average for patients with Pancreatic Cancer, thanks to the highest level of care he received at DFCI.
Thank you for visiting, and thank you most of all for you support.
