Why I Ride ...
I am a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading the campaign to beat cancer. In fact, last year, 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s tireless commitment to finding a cure. 2010 will be my first ride in the PMC and I will be riding in honor of my wife Sandy, who three years ago was diagnosed with Leukemia. With the support of family, friends and some extraordinary doctors at Hartford Hospital (Dr. Dekker) and Dana Farber (Dr. Corey Cutler), we began Sandy’s journey. Sandy received a stem cell transplant from her sister, Terry, in May of 2007 and we will always be grateful for her gift of life. This journey has taken many twists and turns, but we are thankful to have been given the opportunity to continue this journey.

The past few years many people I know have survived cancer, but far too many family, friends, neighbors and fellow golf professionals have passed away from this dreaded disease. I felt compelled to do something in their honor and memory. I invite you to join my team and together we will make this hope and dream of finding a cure a reality.
