Why I Ride ...
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE PMC!
2012 will be my 11th year as a fund raiser for the Jimmy Fund. The Pan Mass Challenge has become one of the cornerstones of the Jimmy Fund/Dana Faber Cancer Institute and is by far the largest single fund raising event for the hospital. To date, I have raised more than $50,000.00 to support life saving research and treatment at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute! My goal for 2012 is $6,500.00. 100% of your donations are contributed to the "Friends for Life Neuroblastoma Endowed Fellowship" which funds research and treatment of children afflicted with cancer at the hospital.
I am also a blood platelet donor at "the Farber." At least four times a year you will find me at the Kraft Blood Donor Center in Boston hooked up to the apheresis machine to donate live preserving blood platelets for use at the hospital. You can help too - just ask me how!
Cancer afflicts all races, all ages and, unfortunately, all families. Thanks to the pioneering work of the researchers & staff at places like the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, when cancer strikes, we can work together to find treatments and cures! Thanks for joining me in this effort.
