Cancer is still bad, cancer still inflicts too much pain on too many people and money still needs to be raised for cancer research.  I know that right now many traditional fundraising methods are not producing the hoped results which seem to drive more requests for donations than ever before.   I hope you will still consider doing what you can to support the Pan Mass Challenge. 

 

This year I will once again do my very small part to help.  On August 8 I will be riding the 47-mile route from Wellesley to Wellesley.   Sure, it's the shortest route they have, but I am sure if you were choosing a bike ride you would pick the 47 mile ride instead of the 192 mile ride too!  I'm not Lance Armstrong for cryin' out loud! 

 

In case you don't already know, the Pan Mass Challenge has raised over $270 million for cancer research over the last 30 years.  This year the goal is to raise another $31 million for the Jimmy Fund, 100% of rider raised dollars go toward this cause.  The PMC raises more for charity than any other single fundraising event in the country.
