Paul Demers's Ride
Why I Ride ...
My official fundraising page is:
www.paulrides.com
My ride is dedicated to my biggest role model, my grandfather. He was a hard-working machinist, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who's true love was for his family.
He lost his battle with cancer almost eight years ago and I ride with him in my heart.
I also dedicate my ride to the amazing people I have met volunteering and working at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Both the doctors, nurses, and scientists that work tirelessly to help those with cancer find a cure, and the patients who with smiles and dedication to beating this disease, brighten up any room that they walk into. I am on Team NECN, the riding team of New England Cable News, the media sponsor for the event
It has been almost seven years since I quit smoking in honor or my grandfather. I am not a gambling man, but I would bet the ranch that I will never put tobacco in my body again.
Even if you can't ride, volunteer, or be there to cheer on the riders, you can help. Please make a donation in finding a cure for this disease that has touched so many that we know and care about. Thanks!
