Puneet Chandhok's Ride

Why I Ride ...

The PMC inspires me and other riders to lend our energy and strength to those who are in need of it.

As a survivor of cancer and a patient at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, I can personally attest to the difference this facility made for me, during a very challenging time in my life. Even though that was 9 years ago, I often think about the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers who have helped me with my recovery. It was then when I learnt that I had to make lifestyle adjustments. It was then when I took up bicycling. And it was then when I decided to support the Dana-Farber Institute and the Jimmy Fund in their efforts to fight cancer and continue the research needed to battle this disease.

I ride the PMC to:

Celebrate those who have won their battle against cancer.

In memory of those who have lost their fight and have passed on.

Honor those who are battling this disease.

A special honor goes to Peyton, who, at 13 years of age, is fighting a rare precancerous condition.  The strength and courage Peyton has shown during this challenge in her life is admirable.

What makes me smile is to hear from you: my relatives, friends, colleagues and former colleagues, as you sponsor me. Your help in providing funds to find a cure is greatly needed and appreciated.

I’ll be thanking you each mile I pedal.

Kindly sponsor my ride by clicking on the eGift link at the bottom. Thank you for supporting Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund, and for being part of the fight against cancer.
