PMC 2012: Why I Ride
My first PMC was in 2003, a year after my son was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer. Riding in his honor was a way to do something, to give back. For my 10th ride, as captain of LEGS Ending Great Suffering, I still ride in honor of my brave and kind son and all the other children diagnosed with this insidious disease. 2010 was my first ride in memory of Sam's friend Jake, our hero, after riding in his honor for 6 years after being diagnosed with neuroblastoma. This is why I support pediatric cancer and stem cell research by providing a conduit for you to directly support the genius of Dr. Wolfram Goessling's zebra fish research:
