Why I Ride ...
This is my fourth year riding in the PMC and I am riding in memory of Maddie Savoie. After a two year courageous and brave fight against cancer, Maddie passed away October 16, 2008 at the age of 10. Maddie was an inspiration to everyone that had the privledge to meet her and has touched many who never got the chance to meet this beautiful, caring and brave little girl. Even though she was only ten years old she is the strongest person I have ever met and riding in the PMC gives me a chance to make a small difference in the battle against cancer. Every donation I receive, even the smallest ones, will allow me to spread Maddie's spirit during this ride and will help fight against cancer so that other children will not have to go through the battle Maddie fought so courageously at. There are many worthy non-profits out there, the reason I choose the PMC each year is that 100% of your donation goes directly to help find cancer. This year I am excited to be riding on team Phat Tuesday!!!! They are a fun, dedicated bunch of people that are committed to curing cancer and I'm proud to call them my teammates.
