Why I Ride ...
This is my second year riding in the PMC and I am riding in memory of Maddie Savoie. After a two year courageous and brave fight against cancer, Maddie passed away October 16, 2008 at the age of 10. Maddie was an inspiration to everyone that had the privledge to meet her and has touched many who never got the chance to meet this beautiful, caring and brave little girl. While she was only ten years old she is the strongest person I have ever met and riding in the PMC gives me a chance to make a small difference in the battle against cancer. I know Maddie would be proud of me and I know her spirit will be with me every mile of this ride. Everyone donation I receive, even the smallest ones, will allow me to spread Maddie's spirit during this ride and will help fight against cancer so that other children will not have to go through the battle Maddie fought so courageously at.
