Michael Berger's Ride
Why I Ride ...
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
This year will be my 14th Pan-Mass Challenge. On August 7th â€" the second day of the Pan-Mass Challenge â€" I will be celebrating my 60th birthday and at the same time, helping to support the largest fundraiser of its kind to raise money to cure cancer! Last year the Pan-Mass Challenge raised $31 million, with 100% going directly to research at Dana Farber Hospital!
As I ride the 168 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown, I will be thinking about my family and friends who have been affected by cancer â€" my mother who passed away from colon cancer and a high school friend who passed away of testicular cancer at age 23.
Fortunately, cancer research has dramatically increased the life expectancy of individuals with cancer. With your donation, a child, a young adult, or a parent with cancer will hopefully celebrate a milestone in their life. Researchers will find a cure for cancer, but they need your support now. My number is mb0064.
Thank you for your support,
Michael Berger
