Laura Packer's Ride
Why I Ride ...
Why I Ride
Because I can.
This will be my fourth PMC. In that time five of the people I ride for have died. Several of the others are still fighting fierce battles, while the rest are learning to live with that new label, "cancer survivor." Like them, I am a survivor. This ride has made me a cancer fighter.
Each year I've done the PMC I've carried a list, written on paper or on my legs, the names of those who are fighting or have fought this battle.
I'm riding because someday I know that I won't have to write any names, because there won't be a need anymore. We will have won.
I'm riding for hope. And love. And you.
You can ride with me, or send someone along, simply by donating. Your donation will help many others in so many ways. Tell me the names of the people I'm riding for, so they can feel the wind as I ride along.
