Dear Friends and Family,

We're making progress in the fight against cancer, but we need your help!!!

On August 1^st, 2009, I will ride in my third Pan Mass Challenge-a fund raising bike-a-thon that raises money for cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. I will be riding 84 miles from Wellesley to Bourne, the beginning of Cape Cod, along with 5000 other riders.  Since I started biking, I have been a member of "Team Perry", a team started by our leader Melissa Jacoby in honor of her first husband Perry Levey who passed away from cancer of the small intestine in 1999 at the age of 32. In 2008, our team raised over $400,000 allowing Team Perry to almost reach it's 2.5 Million Dollar milestone.  With your help, we are aiming to surpass the $400,000 amount this year.

As many of you know, I ride in this event to celebrate the battle against cancer waged by my mother, who is enjoying her 6^th year in remission from breast cancer, and my mother-in-law, who has gracefully overcome lymphoma.  I am also riding for the patients whom I care for and am inspired by daily, and the numerous other close family and friends who are currently fighting against this insidious disease.

I would greatly appreciate your support for this ride. I realize that this year presents its own unique challenges given the current economic climate. Every donation will be greatly appreciated, and will bring us collectively one step closer towards a cure.
