Kim Thatcher's Ride

Why I Ride ...

Hello All,

This is my seventh PMC. I am riding for my son Kyle. Kyle (15), was diagnosed with Leukemia in April of 2004. As of May 2006, Kyle has finished his two years of chemotherapy treatment. Kyle continues to go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund  every 6 months for routine blood work to insure his body is still in remission. So far, so good! We are thrilled to see Kyle doing well physically and academically. Kyle is now a freshman in HS and doing well. He is on the HS Golf team and continues to play in the orchastra (cello).   Kyle also continues to work on his advancement towards Eagle Scout.   Kyle is my hero and inspiration for the PMC.

It is because of supporters like yourself that have given children and adults the  opportunity to do so wellwith treatment  because of the successful research provided from the funds raised through the PMC.

Again, I am riding on the Pedals for Pediatrics team.  The teams fundraising benefits the children at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and at Children's. I am looking forward to this years ride and fundraising opportunities!

The research and successful treatment for cancer can't be done without the support from individuals like yourself.  Please consider supporting the team with a egift donation to the Jimmy Fund.

Thank you for your support!!

Kim
