Jennifer Weber's Ride
Why I Ride ...
This is my second year riding, but my first 2 day ride. Last year
was such a great success and a great time, and quickly I realized that I have more to give.
I know that I will never personally be able to find the cure for cancer, but I know that
I can still play an important part to help find a cure. Riding in honor and support of
those who have lost the battle or are fighting the disease, and raising money
for the cause, is my way of supporting and doing my part to find the happy ending for
those who have to face the horrible disease.
This year, I am doubling my efforts and my fund-raising goals knowing that more
lives can be saved, and hoping fewer battles will need to be fought.
When faced with a challenge and faced with a disease that has no
ending, no resolution and no cure, you realize how precious and short life
is. You realize the true strength that is within us all and our willingness
to fight and conquer. The ride is my fight and way to give back to all of
those who are not able to and I am lucky and honored to be able to do so.
It is inspirational to hear the stories of those who have fought and are
here to tell us themselves, and inspirational to hear the stories
of those who are not here to tell us, but their strength told by loved
ones. Hearing the passion for life of both survivors and victims gives
us hope that some day there will be a cure.
I am not only riding in honor and support of those that have fought,
but also for those that someday might have to- and with our help,
who can be saved.
After running through all the what if's, you realize the what are's.
You realize there is a possibility that there could be a happy ending.
That happy ending is a possibility because of you and all of you who
donate your time, money and good will to the research and finding a cure.
It is a group effort to fight the disease, and a group effort to find a cure.
No one person can do it on their own- so Thank You!
Thank you for your time, your well wishes, your help and your donation.
Here's to saving another life.
